As a volunteer with the Pokémon Go News Crew at Pokédex100, I create bi-weekly infographics for Pokémon Go events, focusing on Community Day charts, which are the most significant events each month. These graphics serve an audience of over 500k trainers, providing essential updates and information about the game.
The Pokémon Go community is vast and active, with Community Day being a major monthly event that attracts significant attention. Effective communication of event details through infographics is crucial for keeping the community informed and engaged.
The challenge is to provide clear, visually engaging, and accurate information about Community Day events to a large and diverse audience. The graphics need to capture the attention of players and convey key details efficiently.
As a volunteer with Pokédex100, I led the design and development of bi-weekly infographics for Pokémon Go events, reaching over 500k trainers. I worked closely with the community to gather feedback, which informed design improvements like high-contrast text and more accessible graphics. Using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, I created visually engaging charts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accessibility in each design. This experience honed my ability to balance aesthetics with usability, designing for diverse audiences and real-world needs.
